Denton County, enjoy the clear and sunny weather today — because tomorrow Texas turns the heat up to 11.

A Heat Advisory is in effect Thursday, June 18, from noon to 9 p.m. Heat index values could climb as high as 108°F, so Texans know the drill: drink plenty of water, take breaks in the shade or A/C, and check on people and pets who may be more vulnerable to the heat.

And as always: never leave children or animals in a vehicle, even for a few minutes. The Texas sun is undefeated.
