The Colorado Heart Gallery is both a website and a traveling photography display dedicated to finding caring adults for our waiting children. It is a collaboration among the Colorado Department of Human Services, Raise the Future, counties throughout the state, and generous professional photographers who donate their time, talent, and materials to help find families for children and youth. The Col

orado Heart Gallery is one of Colorado’s most effective ways to find families for children and teens. We welcome your comments to the Colorado Heart Gallery page. Please note that the comments expressed on the page do not reflect the opinions and position of CDHS or our employees. For nearly 40 years, Cora and Stan have been opening their home and hearts to youth in need. Since starting as foster parents in 1989, this incredible couple has cared for around 200 children and even welcomed several permanently into their family through adoption! 🌾🐐🐓

Their dedication, structure, and lifelong commitment show the power of love and stability in changing a child's trajectory.

📣 Know an inspiring young person with Colorado foster care experience? It’s time to lift up their voice! 🌟✨

October is Foster Youth Voice Month—a nationwide celebration led by the Selfless Love Foundation and recognized in over 30 states! 💙

Here in Colorado, the Office of the Child’s Representative (OCR), the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), and the Child Protection Ombudsman of Colorado (CPO) are teaming up to sponsor the Colorado Foster Youth Voice Celebration! We are honoring youth who have used their voices to improve their own lives or advocate for others in the foster care system. 🎙️👏

Help us recognize these incredible young leaders! Submit a nomination using our form today. 📝✨
