"Our program is called ArtLab. Our youth internship program is a paid internship for high school students, supporting them in creative career training, also wrap-around resources and figuring out how to make it through high school and then go onto college. Prosperity Denver has funded our program supporting Denver youth. It is critical to have resources to support programs that are interfacing with students, that are creating safe spaces for students to be themselves … to peruse their passions, and funding to support that within our city only makes our city stronger."

🖼️ PlatteForum creates opportunities for youth and professional artists to collaborate on long-term, intensive projects, where they explore a wide array of special issues together and take creative risks in a safe and inclusive environment, all backed by wrap-around resources and economic support.

We’re grateful for the passionate work and support PlatteForum provides creative learners and the opportunity for youth and artists to develop academic, professional, social-emotional, and leadership skills in Denver that stay with them and our city! 🏙️

🌲 We had a great time in Genesee seeing firsthand what happens when we invest in young people! With Colorado facing devastating wildfires this summer, it's clear we need more wildland firefighters to help protect our forests and communities. Prosperity Denver is proud to fund Mile High Youth Corps. 🚒

🎥 Recently featured by CBS Colorado's Alan Gionet, Mile High Youth Corps' Fire Crew gives young people hands-on experience in wildfire mitigation by reducing fire risk in our forests. Along the way, young people earn industry-recognized certifications, build valuable job skills, and prepare for careers in wildland firefighting and natural resource management. 🌿

🗞️📰We're grateful for the feature on Prosperity Denver Fund in a recent edition of The Rise Report, a weekly newsletter covering postsecondary education and workforce development in Colorado.

In the newsletter, author Alison Griffin from Future Rise highlighted our last spring distribution and Prosperity Denver's innovative national funding model, which supports Denver nonprofits helping students succeed. Griffin shared:

"The fund's mechanics are themselves worth attention. Prosperity Denver is supported by a voter-approved 0.08% Denver sales tax — less than a penny on a $10 purchase — and operates on a pay-for-success model, reimbursing nonprofits only when students achieve postsecondary milestones. Since 2018, the fund has supported nearly 64,000 students and reimbursed more than $65 million to Denver nonprofits."

“We have an amazing ecosystem of youth serving and youth access organizations … Prosperity Denver Fund allows them to really expand their reach and engagement to students that deserve access college and beyond. We have untapped brilliance in our backyard and Prosperity Denver really helps unlock what that is for students to access higher education ... For us it's really about how we are coming together in the community because there is a vibrant support system for young people in Denver and Prosperity Denver is one of the ways we are catalyzing that system.”

Ednium is an action-focused, community development organization started by a group of Denver Public Schools alumni. They partner with public school alumni across the Denver metro area to change the way cities educate and reinvest in their homegrown talent.
