FREE JAZZ CONCERT at the historic Savoy, 2700 Arapahoe Street, Denver, CO, on August 15th!

Bandleader/trombonist Nat Wickham and the Denver Municipal Jazz Band have assembled some of the best jazz musicians in the region and will be performing August 15 at 7:00 PM (two sets). The concert features dynamic contemporary jazz big band originals and arrangements, by Quincy Jones, Bill Holman, Thelonious Monk, Pat Metheny and more. The event is free and open to the public of all ages, and the bar will be serving, so please join us for a great evening of great big band music! Parking is available at the Montessori School at 26th and Curtis.

What a great day celebrating Colorado’s 150th Bday with History Colorado! It’s our 165th season and we have many more free concerts coming your way. Come see our amazing 16 piece Jazz Band this week! The Denver Municipal Band will be kicking off the History Colorado Community Fest celebrating the USA-250/CO-150 birthdays this Saturday, August 1st. Come hear our brass quintet on the steps of the museum from 9-9:30 and then enjoy a full day of free events like a pancake breakfast, artisan-farmers market, free museum admission, performances, family activities, and more!
