On August 26, 2026, the WPS Board of Education approved a resolution to place a Mill Levy Override on the Nov 3, 2026 ballot. By approving this resolution, the Board offers voters the opportunity to decide whether WPS should be authorized to collect previously approved revenues, without imposing new taxes.

Funds would support:

Improving safety and security
Expanding and strengthening Career and Technical Education
Attracting and retaining effective teachers
Improving academic achievement for all students
