Who's loving the idea of renovating the Sterling? We now have an endowment fund in place (Thank you Save Our Sterling!) and we need to put a bunch of money in there. We're going to do some brainstorming over on Clearly Derby - come on over & bring some good ideas with you :-)

We had a great inaugural party last night!
- The Sons of Italy was a perfect venue for our 100+ attendees. Thank you, Lorenzo Durante, for making the arrangements so easy, having the hall all ready for us, and taking care of us while we were there.
- Antonios of Ansonia did the catering and the food was delicious. And there was plenty of it too. Thank you Chris and Mark!
- Charles Rosenay and his co-DJ (missed the name-sorry!) came to entertain us from Boppers Entertainment. These guys were outstanding and we had a blast.
- Also thanks to Ken Hughes and Joe Bomba for coming down and helping Judy to blow up hundreds of balloons before the party!
- We had newly elected officials from both sides of the aisle. Newly elected B.O.A. president Ron Sill was there with his wife, Joyce, and Ron was working the room of course :-) New Alderman Art Gerckens was there too with his wife Patsy. They were enjoying the dancing and Art has some moves! Also in attendance was new Tax Board member Dan Sexton - he was also having a great time.
Thanks to everyone who attended and made this party such a success - cya in 2!

Thank you Joe! It was a nice, uneventfuly ceremony and we really liked the Mayor's inauguration address. We are all headed out to party tonight ... we finally get to relax for a few! Yeah!

We expected this page to be almost out of business by now but it looks like we need to stay around because of the ballot issues. We've been told, by the CT Post, that the Democrat Town Committee execs met yesterday as planned and have resolved to get a written statement from the CT Secretary of State on how to proceed. We were told by another media source that we should expect a lot of media coverage on Inauguration Day, Dec 3. We guess they want to see just who's going to go up on the stage. Stay tuned!
