I know I'm still relatively new, but after almost a full year on the Derry School Board and getting a grasp on the budget and how things are run.... and I'm starting to panic thinking of the increase with a lot of things lining up this year, like the 24 million bond payment (we've only had interest payments...now actual principal payments are coming due) , the teacher contract in it's second year, etc...
It has been said that a 400k home in Derry will see a $795.ish increase on property tax... My home in Derry is is assessed more than the 400k. I'm concerned for our seniors and our families barely scraping by. There has to be answers! I am going to continue asking questions and look for ways to cap this madness!
