Nate Boulton for Iowa House Nate Boulton is a candidate for the Iowa House of Representatives. He served as Democratic Whip and Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee.

Nate previously served two terms in the Iowa Senate, representing East Des Moines, Altoona, & Pleasant Hill. State Senator Nate Boulton represents Senate District 16, which includes the east side of Des Moines and Pleasant Hill.

It was a fun break from the campaign trail yesterday to join several current and former legislators in the annual legislative softball game.

This year, the event raised $30,000 to be shared between two great causes: the Aiming for a Cure Foundation to support kids and families impacted by pediatric cancer and Blue Star Mothers to support those who serve in the armed forces.

Yesterday I returned to the State Fair to learn more about the work food vendors do with Connie Boesen at Applishus and help judge the chili contest. I then was able to catch up with labor leaders in Altoona at the 2026 Iowa AFL-CIO Hall of Fame dinner, including my father Randy Boulton, who was entered into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
