*NO FRIDAY NIGHT MEETING at the library TONIGHT!*
-We canceled our meeting so we could focus more time and energy on the picnic tomorrow!
➡️ AND, we are keeping an eye on the weather, watching air conditions, hoping to have a SAFE gathering 🌳
•Indivisible Des Plaines invites everyone to a community-building picnic on Saturday, July 18th from 4 to 7 pm at West Park.
🙂The picnic is to celebrate our community and resilient, caring, thoughtful neighbors like you! Bring a friend, or come solo and make new friends! 💕

We will have food, music, yard games, and more. Our team rented the West Park Pavilion for shade. We will have a grill, hot dogs, ice, coolers, water, picnic blankets, and other essentials. There is a playground for kids and a basketball court. Parking is available on South Wolf Road and Greenview Avenue. Public restrooms are located in the concession stand building.

We hope you can join us! Thank you for all you do!

*Please no alcohol, additional tents/canopies, or grills per the Des Plaines Park District rules

Hello Friends! Indivisible Des Plaines invites everyone to a community-building picnic on July 18th from 4 to 7 pm at West Park.
💚The picnic is to celebrate our community and resilient neighbors like you! 💞Building connections strengthens our community, no matter your zip code!

We will have food, music, yard games, and more.🙂 If you would like, you can bring a snack to share at the community table and a chair if you prefer to sit.
🌳Our team rented the West Park Pavilion for shade. We will have a grill, hot dogs, ice, coolers, water, picnic blankets, and other essentials.

I guess it would be difficult to cram a 10 minute, in depth, meandering, phone interview into a easy to digest article for the local paper.
Deeply grateful for the time, energy and space in The Journal.
I have 1 edit.
The laaaast sentence he says I'm "hoping for the best" - what I actually said is that I remain Radically Hopeful.
I think it's an important distinction. To remain Radically Hopeful at a time when the system in which we are forced to operate is designed to hold us down, is essential.
•It is radical to remain hopeful when the goal of our health insurance companies is to DENY coverage.
•It is radical to remain hopeful when our rights are being violated by our own government.
•It is radical to remain hopeful while our EPA is choosing to NOT protect the land and the people that rely on it.
•It is radical to remain hopeful while a convicted felon is dismantling the integrity of our constitution.
➡️ So I urge you to remain Radically Hopeful.
