If elected as Fire Commissioner, I will make it my personal priority to visit all of Destin’s fire stations and engage directly with our firefighters. I want to hear their perspectives—the good and the bad. Will this mean that they get everything they ask for? No. I believe everyone understands that every job involves a balance of needs and compromises. However, it will ensure that they have a stronger voice in decision-making. Will this lead to irresponsible spending of taxpayer money? Absolutely not. As a Destin citizen myself, I am committed to ensuring that our funds are spent wisely and efficiently, just like everyone expects.

Really enjoyed getting to Tour Destin Fire Station 9 with my son!! These firefighters deserve our support and some one who is willing to listen to what they have to say! My biggest concern always has been and always will be the safety of the Destin residents and my family!!

I want to make something perfectly clear to everyone. Never have I ever mentioned or considered raising taxes for Destin Residents. I am a Destin Resident!! Anything that affects you, also affects me in the exact same way. Now that I have said that, I want to address something else that keeps getting brought up.

I am a FF and I have never hidden that fact. I am
not a business owner nor do I have experience when it comes to creating a budget…but luckily there are other people on the board that have experience with that and I can learn. I want to bring balance to the board by bringing a fresh perspective, while still keeping the citizens safety my top priority.
