Calling all Detroit artists.

Studios is offering workshops for artists who want to learn how to create poly tab / parachute cloth murals, a game-changing method for painting, transporting, and installing murals more efficiently.

This technique allows artists to paint indoors, ship work more easily, install murals faster, and take on larger public art opportunities with more flexibility. Less time fighting ladders, more time making the city look like it has sense.

Led by internationally known muralist , the workshops cover:

Creating murals on poly tab
Installation techniques
Shipping and transporting murals
Ways to increase income through faster mural installs

Artists interested in growing their mural practice can register through Fel’le Art Studios.

Congrats again to for this year’s Motor City Makeover t-shirt design! Motor City Makeover 365 is a citywide cleanup and beautification initiative. Over the past 30 years MCM 365 has evolved, partnering with block clubs and associations on their efforts has become essential to the success of this initiative. Annually, thousands of volunteers across Detroit come together to clean and beautify neighborhoods, parks, playgrounds, and around businesses, schools, and places of worship. Motor City Makeover kick-off beautification and clean-up projects take place three Saturdays in May based on City Council Districts.

🏆 Detroit, meet your winner.

Paityn Henderson is 17 years old, from District 3, and attends . She designed the official Motor City Makeover T-shirt.

Her vision was clear:
“I want to bring vibrancy back into our city.”
And she did exactly that. With one design.
Big shoutout to her teacher, Kim Hildebrandt-Hall, at for helping push her vision forward.

This is what happens when Detroit youth are given the room, resources, and belief to create.
They don’t just show up.
They show out.

Congratulations, Paityn!
