Well, the election is behind us, and I just wanted to take a minute to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who supported me, voted for me, put up a sign, shared a post, said a prayer, sent an encouraging message, or took the time to visit with me over the last few months. I appreciate every one of you more than you know.
This campaign has been one of the most interesting, challenging, rewarding, and sometimes downright humbling experiences of my life. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, introduced me to some incredible people, and gave me an even greater appreciation for Beaverhead County.
Congratulations to Mark Boka on his victory, and thank you to everyone who participated in the election process.
While the outcome wasn't in my favor, I have absolutely no regrets. I took a chance, learned a lot, made new friends, and earned the support of 396 voters. For that, I am truly grateful.
Most of all, thank you to my husband, my kids, my family, and my friends for standing beside me through this entire journey.
Beaverhead County is a special place, and I'm proud to call it home.
Thank you all. ❤️

I'll be honest—seeing 206,864 views on my campaign page is something I never imagined.
I come from a place where everybody knows everybody. I was raised on a ranch, taught to work hard, stay humble, and let my actions speak louder than my words. So this number isn't something I see as an accomplishment. It's a reminder of how many people care about Beaverhead County and its future.
Tomorrow, the views won't matter. The votes will.
If I've earned your trust, I'd be honored to have your vote for Beaverhead County Commissioner.
Thank you for every conversation, every share, every prayer, every kind word, and every bit of support along the way!

Please get out and vote tomorrow. 🇺🇸

As this campaign comes to a close, I've spent a lot of time reflecting on what an incredible experience this has been. Over the past several months, I've traveled across Beaverhead County, listened to your concerns, heard your ideas, and met so many good people who care deeply about this place we call home. For that, I am truly grateful. This campaign has challenged me, humbled me, strengthened my courage, tested my resilience, and in many ways CRYSTALLIZED who I am and what I stand for. It reminded me that hard work still matters, integrity still matters, and showing up for people still matters.
Thank you to everyone who displayed a sign, shared a post, told your friends about me, attended a meet-and-greet, asked tough questions, offered advice, encouragement, or simply took the time to visit with me. Your support has meant more than I can put into words.
To my husband, thank you for making me laugh when my frustration levels were at an all-time high and for reminding me that the strongest, most successful people don't get where they are without criticism along the way.
To my children — Savannah, Shaylee, Allie, and Tanner — thank you for your patience, support, and love throughout this journey. Hearing each of you, at different times, tell me, "Mom, I'm proud of you," is something I will carry with me forever.
And to my Daddy... you taught me more than you'll ever know. Through your example, I learned the value of hard work, keeping your word, treating people fairly, and standing up for what you believe in. Long before I ever thought about running for office, I was watching you lead by example. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss you. I hope you're smiling down, and I hope you're proud of me.
No matter what happens on Election Day, I am proud of the campaign we ran. We chose respect over division, solutions over negativity, and conversations over arguments. I love Beaverhead County. I believe in its people, its future, and the values that make this such a special place to call home.
Thank you for welcoming me into your homes, your businesses, your communities, and your lives throughout this journey. The friendships I've made and the lessons I've learned will stay with me long after this campaign is over.
And when the votes are counted, I can honestly say I gave this everything I had.
Hard work. Honest leadership. Real integrity.
That's who I was before this campaign, that's who I am today, and that's who I'll continue to be tomorrow.

Over the last several months, I’ve had the privilege of traveling all across Beaverhead County, meeting people from every walk of life and hearing what matters most to them.
I’ve sat at kitchen tables, visited small businesses, attended community events, driven a lot of back roads, shaken a lot of hands, and had some really meaningful conversations along the way. No matter where I went, one thing stayed the same — people want honest leadership, common sense, and someone who will truly listen.
This campaign has honestly been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The support, encouragement, conversations and kindness shown to me throughout this journey is something I will never forget. I’ve learned so much, grown so much personally, and gained an even deeper appreciation for this county and the people who call it home.
I’m proud of the campaign we’ve run. We stayed grounded, worked hard, kept moving forward, and focused on what really matters: Beaverhead County and its future.
I’m not a politician. I’m a hard-working businesswoman, a wife, a mother, and someone who deeply cares about this community, our freedoms, our way of life, and the people raising families and building futures here.
Thank you to every person who shared a post, stopped to visit with me, sent an encouraging message, invited me to your town, prayed for me, displayed one of my signs, told your friends about me, or simply gave me a chance to earn your support. It has meant more to me than I can properly put into words.
And thank you especially to the people who took the time to share their wisdom, experiences, and perspectives with me throughout this campaign. Some of the best parts of this journey have been the conversations, stories, advice, and lessons from people who care deeply about Beaverhead County and its future. I will carry those conversations with me for a very long time.
Election Day is almost here, and I truly believe the best days for Beaverhead County are still ahead.
This campaign was never about noise.
It was about the people of Beaverhead County.
And I’m ready to serve them with honesty, integrity, and hard work.

Beaverhead County deserves leaders who can disagree without tearing each other apart.
Throughout this campaign, I’ve tried to stay focused on the things that actually matter:
hard work, honesty, respect for others, and love for this county. I haven’t run on negativity.
I haven’t spent my time attacking people.
And I don’t plan to start now.
No matter the outcome, I hope people remember that elections come and go, but we still have to live here together, raise families here, support local businesses here, and work side by side for the future of Beaverhead County. I’m proud of the conversations that I’ve had across Dillon, Lima, Dell, Wisdom, Jackson, Polaris, Wise River and Glen. Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, challenged me respectfully, prayed for me, waved at me, shared a post, or taken the time to vote.
These last few days matter.
If you believe in hard work, approachable leadership, common sense, and protecting the way of life we all love here…
I would truly appreciate your vote for Crystal McKinney for Beaverhead County Commissioner, District 1 on June 2nd.

With Memorial Day approaching, I can’t help but think….
Maybe it’s because I know that flag didn’t wave freely by accident.
It waves because generations of brave men and women put on a uniform, kissed their families goodbye, and chose service over comfort. Some came home forever changed. Some never came home at all. Every freedom we enjoy today was paid for by someone who believed this country was worth fighting for.
The freedom to speak our minds.
The freedom to worship.
The freedom to work hard and build a life.
The freedom to raise our children the way we believe is right.
And yes… the freedom and privilege to vote.
That right was defended by Americans willing to stand in places most of us could never imagine, carrying the weight of this country on their shoulders.
No matter our disagreements, backgrounds, or political views, I hope we never lose sight of how incredibly blessed we are to live in the United States of America.
When I see that flag flying over a ranch, a small town, a baseball field, or a country road in Montana, I don’t just see fabric.
I see sacrifice.
I see courage.
I see freedom.
I see home.
And I will always stand proudly for the red, white, and blue. 🇺🇸

Beaverhead County doesn’t run on one person’s opinions, ego, or agenda.
It takes three county commissioners working together, listening to the people, using common sense, and making thoughtful decisions that are best for our communities, our land, and our future. No one commissioner makes decisions alone — ideas need to be discussed, problems need to be solved together, and votes need to be made with honesty, respect, and teamwork.
That’s why it is so important to elect commissioners who are approachable, hardworking, level-headed, and willing to do the job professionally and respectfully. People who are willing to share the workload, communicate well, and focus on results instead of politics or personal recognition.
I believe strong leadership isn’t about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about showing up, working hard, listening carefully, and doing what’s right for the people of Beaverhead County.
I care deeply about this county, the people who live here, and preserving the way of life that makes this place so special.
I would truly appreciate your vote for Beaverhead County Commissioner.

05/14/2026

I’m running for Beaverhead County Commissioner because I genuinely care about this county, the people who live here, and the future we leave behind for the next generation.
My children are growing up here. They attend our schools, enjoy our open spaces, and experience the beauty of this county every single day. It’s my hope that when they grow up, Beaverhead County is the place they choose to raise their own families. I want us to continue creating opportunities with good jobs, responsible government, and low taxes so families can afford to stay here. And I want us to protect the ranches, farms, and open spaces that make this county so special in the first place. That’s a vision I believe many of us share.
I’m not running for a title, political status, or personal gain. I’m running because I believe local government works best when it is honest, approachable, transparent, and willing to listen to the people it serves.
Anybody can say the words honesty and integrity during an election season. The real question is whether your life, your work ethic, and the way you treat people actually back those words up. Leadership isn’t proven by repeating phrases. It’s proven by humility, by listening, by showing up consistently, and by working hard for the people you serve.
I’m a dedicated hard worker, a successful businesswoman, a wife, and a mother. As a small business owner, I understand budgeting, responsibility, communication, and what it means to work hard every single day to earn people’s trust. My career has also allowed me to sit down with people from every background imaginable, listen to their concerns, and understand the real-life challenges families and businesses face.
For me, this has never been about sounding good in a newspaper quote. It’s about serving Beaverhead County honestly, working hard, and making decisions with common sense and integrity every step of the way.
I will bring accountability, transparency, and a willingness to work with others for the good of the entire county — not just one town, group, or agenda.
Beaverhead County deserves leadership that is humble enough to listen, strong enough to make tough decisions, and grounded enough to remember who government is supposed to work for: the people.
