Our annual Poker Run will be held on Saturday, August 15th starting at 9 a.m.

The Poker Run has been renamed for our former CEO & dear friend. It is now the “Tracy L. Taliaferro Memorial Poker Run.” As you know, Tracy loved riding bikes and the Poker Run was his favorite event!

With the assistance of the American Legion Riders of Post 146, we will hold our annual Poker Run with the following social distancing modifications:

*We will send riders out in small groups.

*There will be no inside visits at the facilities. You may ride around and grab a bottle of water but will not be permitted to go inside.

*Cards will be selected at the Legion Post 146 at the start and at Crater Community Hospice when finished.

*Lunch will be a sack lunch that the riders can take with them.

*We will announce best and worst hands, raffle tickets and 50/50 drawing winners virtually.

Please plan to join us! To pre-register use the following link:
https://forms.donorsnap.com/form?id=30aceed4-1a96-425c-8eca-12fd0ae616c8

It's always our mission to provide exceptional pre-hospital emergency care. With that in mind, we want to share some broad differences in symptoms among the coronavirus, the flu and allergies, supplied by the CDC.

If you need to call 911 for help, please let them know what your symptoms are; that helps them keep everyone responding and in the chain of healthcare as safe as possible... So we can continue to answer your calls for help!

As we turn out the lights on the 94th BLE we want the class to know this is not goodbye but a beginning of not only your careers with your agencies, but a beginning for us to provide you the training and resources you will need to evolve and improve over years to come. 94 BLE graduation was postponed so they could get back to their agencies and communities to assist with the response to the current pandemic. As they begin their time on field training we reminded them to be safe, to be patient and to be humble and combine their newly learned skills with the experience and wisdom of their FTO to become the best officer they could be! 94, remember to maintain your appearance, control you attitude, use your aptitude to make decisions, know the actions you take matter and hold yourself to the highest levels of accountability. Maintain your Professionalism, Integrity, Compassion and Fairness, as a group you have made a positive impact on our staff and will be forever will be known as, “Hard Chargers!” Congratulations and God Bless!
