Yesterday members from our department’s rescue team participated in a county wide confined space drill at the Clorox Plant in Fairfield.

Select members from agencies across the county make up the Solano County Urban Search and Rescue Team and are utilized as needed for technical rescue incidents.

Quarterly the county team gets together to conduct drills like this to stay up on the skills required for these types of incidents.

As promised here are the finalized maps for our 2023 Santa Run! Each map shows which day that specific route will take place. Keep in mind that the fourth and final night is pictures with Santa and no driving route will take place. Merry Christmas! We cannot wait to see you all along our way.

**PSA** Santa is coming to town! Many have already been asking so here are dates and times for our Annual Santa Run. We look forward to this tradition every year because of you all. Happy New Year from your Dixon Firefighters. As we close out 2021 and Welcome 2022 we have the opportunity to reflect back on what proved to be a record setting year. Our staff members spent 60 days deployed on the front lines of many record setting wild fires, where we provided our expertise to aid our neighbors. At home we continued to “provide a quantity and reliable service to our community…”

We responded to a record 2954 calls for service, a modest 8 percent increase, from 2020, and We stand ready to serve you in the New Year “ through leadership, education and training.”

DIxon Fire Department is hosting entry level technical rescue training at our Training site .The Low Angle Rope Rescue Operational (LARRO) course has 24 open spots and will soon be available for enrollment on The Fire Nuggets web site. This course is the Prerequisite class for addmision to the the Rescue System series. Mark your calendars for this outstanding Nor Cal training opportunity.
