As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, I want to personally thank every teacher, teacher assistant, school staff member, and educator who pours into our children every single day.

I fully support our teachers, and I am continuing to fight for them in Raleigh because our educators deserve more than just appreciation they deserve support, resources, respect, and action.

One of the reasons I substitute when I can is because I believe in hearing directly from teachers and students firsthand. I want to understand the real challenges happening inside our classrooms, not just read about them in reports.

Our teachers are shaping the future every single day, often while carrying responsibilities far beyond the classroom.
Please know that your work does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for your dedication, your patience, and the love you show our children and communities every day.
