Bring your tools for FREE tool sharpening with the San Gabriel Valley's Best Cutlery! There is a 2 tools or knives per person limit.

Make a splash this summer at Recreation Swim! ☀️🏊

Cool off, stay active, and enjoy the pool all season long at the Duarte Fitness Center Pools (1600 Huntington Drive) now until Sunday, September 6 from 1:30 - 3:30 PM. Recreation Swim is open to residents and guests of all ages, making it the perfect way to beat the heat and have fun with family and friends!

Fees:

Duarte Seniors (60+ with ID): $2
Ages 12 & Under: $2
Ages 13 & Older: $3

All ages are welcome. Adult supervision is required for children ages 7 and under.

Note: Beginning August 17, the pool schedule availability changes for Recreation Swim.

Interested in learning more about law enforcement and public safety?

The Temple Sheriff’s Station Youth Academy is now accepting applications for its Summer 2026 program, and Duarte youth are eligible to participate!

The Youth Academy is designed to provide participants with an inside look at law enforcement and public safety operations while fostering positive relationships between youth and law enforcement professionals.

The program will be held on Wednesdays from July 15 through August 19 from 4 - 6 PM at the Temple Sheriff’s Station (8838 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, CA 91780).

Space is limited, and applications are due by Wednesday, July 8. Don't miss this opportunity to build leadership skills, learn about public safety, and connect with local law enforcement professionals.

All fireworks are illegal in the City of Duarte 🚫🎆

The City's zero-tolerance enforcement policy means dangerous fireworks can result in fines of up to $10,000.

Skip the backyard fireworks and join us for Duarte’s Annual Independence Day Celebration at 5:30 PM on Friday, July 3 at Duarte Sports Park. Enjoy an evening of family fun and a professional fireworks show at 9:15 PM!

Construction on the Donald and Bernice Watson Multi-Use Trail Improvement Project is scheduled to begin the week of June 22, 2026! 🚧

These improvements will enhance the trail’s safety, accessibility, and overall user experience through pathway resurfacing, updated striping and signage, improved rest areas, landscaping, security lighting, ADA-compliant ramps, and upgraded crosswalks.

Trail users may experience temporary detours and construction-related activity during the project. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as we work to deliver a safer, more accessible, and enhanced recreational space for everyone.

Rabies Vaccination - $12
Microchip with Lifetime Registration - $35

Dog Licensing:
One Year, Unaltered - $80
One Year, Altered - $30
Senior Citizens (65+) - $10.00 Limited to one altered dog per household

Avoid late fees and renew by August 31, 2026:
One Year, Unaltered - $160
One Year, Altered - $110

Accepted payment types: cash, credit, or check.

Reminder: All dogs over 4 months old must be vaccinated for rabies to comply with state law. With Duarte’s Foothills nearby, encounters with wildlife are possible. Don’t hesitate… Vaccinate!
