BOIL WATER ADVISORY

CITY OF DUDLEY WATER CUSTOMERS

The City of Dudley is issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory due to a water main break that resulted in a complete loss of water pressure within portions of the water system.

As a precaution, customers are advised to boil all water used for:

• Drinking
• Cooking
• Brushing teeth
• Making ice
• Preparing baby formula
• Washing fruits and vegetables
• Giving water to pets

Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute and allow it to cool before use. Bottled water may also be used.

This advisory is being issued out of an abundance of caution because a loss of water pressure can increase the potential for contamination to enter the water distribution system.

City crews have completed repairs and are working to restore normal system pressure. Water samples will be collected and tested to ensure the safety of the drinking water supply.

The Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect until satisfactory water quality test results are received and the City of Dudley announces that the advisory has been lifted.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to restore normal service safely.
