I’d like to take a moment to share a little about who I am and my long-standing connection to the Dufur community.
My educational journey began in Petersburg, where I attended school from 1st through 6th grade. My family moved to Dufur when I was in junior high, and I graduated from Dufur High School in 1970. From there, I went on to earn a degree in Production Agriculture from Blue Mountain Community College, graduating in 1972. I’ve worked in agriculture ever since and began farming in the Dufur area in 1977, a profession I proudly continue today.
My involvement with the Dufur School Board began in the early 1980s. Over the past 40+ years, I’ve remained deeply committed to supporting our students, staff, and community through board service.
My experience includes:
- Participation in three school remodel and bond projects
- Helping launch the Jerri Walker DePriest Endowment Fund (JWD) and Ranger Pride Education Foundation (RPEF)
- Supporting the expansion of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs
- Serving on multiple school and community boards, including JWD, RPEF, City of Dufur and Dufur Park Board.
I believe in maintaining stability, history, and community values on the school board and I bring those qualities with me.
In closing, I encourage you to make your voice heard. I would truly appreciate your support and pledge to continue serving with dedication, stability, and passion for the Dufur community.
Thank you,
