Duke Fire District

The Duke Protection District (1) is in need of a Treasurer and Secretary. Our husband and wife team would like to "retire" after many years in these positions. We don't require a husband and wife team, but do need two people to step up to help our fire community. (2) we also need someone to volunteer to cut the small amount of grass around the firehouse and keep the weeds out of the gravel areas. A small monetary amount can be paid, if needed; gives us an amount and we can see if a deal can be made.(3) Volunteers are needed as firefighters , helpers, and board members are needed. The board meets once a month. Firefighters are needed several times a month for car accidents, general aid, and medical calls. There has been an average of 3 calls a month. The board meets at 7 pm on the forbidden Monday of each month. All are invited. The next meeting is March 16.

We are monitoring for thunderstorm potential this weekend, especially on Saturday afternoon.
