Growing healthy means staying protected. Vaccines help protect children from serious diseases and keep schools and communities healthier. Regular checkups are also a great time to:
✔️ Check your child’s growth and development.
✔️ Ask questions about nutrition.
✔️ Make sure immunizations are up to date.
WIC encourages families to stay connected with their child’s healthcare provider. When is your child’s next well-child visit?

Catch us Tuesday for a powerful conversation guided by this year’s theme, “We Keep the Fires Lit: Rising Through Milk Medicine.” This session honors Indigenous lactation as a living practice of continuity, collective care, and cultural responsibility — and uplifts the teachings carried by Two Spirit relatives within birthkeeping spaces.

Hear from:
✨ T’Leeuh Antone (They/them) | Akimel O’odham
Two‑Spirit indigiq***r birthworker with Hummingbird Indigenous Family Services, offering full‑spectrum care including harm reduction, death work, q***r fertility support, and community-centered lactation counseling.

✨ Anthony Johnson (He/him) | Navajo
Artist, poet, photographer, filmmaker, Harvard grad, and cultural documentarian whose work centers healing through story. Anthony supports the revitalization of Traditional Cree birthing practices and uses his platform to uplift Two Spirit and Trans visibility, recovery, and Indigenous wellness.

Moderated by:
🔥 Jasha Lyons Echo-Hawk (They/them)
Two Spirit relative and Founder of Four Sisters Birth & Health Sovereignty and the Indigenous Milk Medicine Collective.

This session invites stories, teachings, and reflections on how Two Spirit relatives continue the work of Milk Medicine for future generations.

There’s still plenty of time to visit your local farmers’ market!

Farmers markets are a great place to discover fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs while supporting Minnesota farmers.

If you receive Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) benefits, be sure to use them before the season ends. Check with your local WIC agency for participating farmers’ markets near you.

What’s your favorite farmers market find?
