Last night’s elections brought record-breaking turnout and results that many of us are still trying to process. Across New Jersey and New York, some truly dedicated public servants were not re-elected, and their absence will be deeply felt by the communities they’ve served so tirelessly. But this is the will of the voters, and that’s the essence of democracy.
Team Dumont would like to congratulate all those who won, especially our newly elected and re-elected officials here in Dumont and throughout New Jersey. To our friends and colleagues who did not prevail, thank you for your commitment, integrity, and service. The work you’ve done will continue to make a difference.
Congratulations to New Jersey’s Governor-elect Mikie Sherrill. The real work begins now. We hope that all who were elected lead with fairness, honesty, and open minds. Listen to every resident, even those with different views. Governing is where true leadership matters most, and the future of our town, our county, and our state depends on the choices made from this point forward.
