It’s National Waffle Week, and what better way to celebrate than with some math and waffles?! 🧇

Today, our 5th graders practiced decimal place value with a fun waffle-themed activity! They got to show off what they know while enjoying a sweet treat.
Definitely one of the more fun ways to practice math skills! 🤎

Duncan Public Schools Capital Investment Plan Committee

Duncan Public Schools is forming a community committee to study district needs and help develop recommendations for future capital investments.

We are seeking members who represent a variety of schools, backgrounds, areas of expertise, and community perspectives. Committee members will attend four meetings, review information, listen to diverse viewpoints, and help develop recommendations based on districtwide student and facility needs.

Committee meetings are scheduled for:

• September 21
• October 20
• November 16
• January 5

A potential bond election is planned for April 2027.

🚨Parent Pickup Announcement🚨– Today, Thursday, August 20, 2026

Horace Mann Elementary parent pickup will have a detour today due to a waterline break.

Please follow this route:

From Whisenant, turn east onto Scott Road.
Turn south onto 21st Street.
Turn east onto Amhurst.
Turn south onto Whisenant, then follow normal route.
Be advised there will be no northbound traffic on Whisenant.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work around this temporary road closure.
