THANKSGIVING DAY
A Poem by Thomas Frederick Young
God of the harvest, once again
Our joyful tones we raise,
For all Thy goodness, day by day,
We give Thee thankful praise.
With blessings rich, from fertile field,
And gifts from fruitful tree,
We wish, this day, our thanks to yield
With earnest hearts, to Thee.
Wishing you all a warm Thanksgiving filled with family, food, and blessings.
Your Idaho Majority Club Board
The great state of Idaho is comprised of her people and their families. Families - mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, and many more. And of course our children. Our focus and in many respects our purpose.
Today we celebrate the childrens' dads - their fathers. Our fathers. The men who with God and our mother gave us life.
The men who provided for us.
The men who protected and fought for us.
The men who guided and inspired us.
The men who when we were in their presence made us feel safe.
Our fathers. We salute them all today and say "thank you dads" for all you have done.
Happy Father's Day to all fathers from the Idaho Majority Club.
We are all better because of you.
Fact Checking, PAC Checking and Hack Checking
Wow, what a crazy time to be in politics. But it is certainly our time and a time when we must be smart, we must be deliberate, we must be intentional and we need to be right - right with our candidate selections and our vote.
And "right" means seeing through the lies and false claims one group after another makes about this candidate or that.
Who scored what on which test to see if they were worthy in the eyes of elitist groups.
Nevermind what the voters might want.
𝗪𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗻❜𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁.
We don't take a candidate's words on one issue and apply them to a different issue to splash controversy on a postcard mailer.
But some do.
𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉.
We don't paraphrase a candidate's comments on an issue to change their meaning and post it with cartoons all over Facebook.
But some do.
𝑪𝒉𝒆𝒄𝒌 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒕𝒉.
We wish it was just the radical Left that employed such deceitfulness, but we see it here in Idaho from well known and newly formed PACs alike, bloggers, and other campaign operatives - waving "conservative" banners and then outright lying about candidates' positions on guns, taxes, abortion, immigration, and other topics Idahoans care about.

And know that candidates aren't perfect. That's why relationships are important. Know their hearts, and then vote your best judgment.
Trust the candidates we endorse to always be honest with you and with us.

Election season means signs. Yard signs, street signs, all kinds of signs big and small. We encourage all candidates, all campaigners - volunteers, and professionals alike to follow the law and show proper respect and etiquette for your opponents.
One candidate in Ada County, or his campaign has been warned numerous times but seems not to care. His signs remained up after the complaints and the deadlines to remove them. That is unfortunate. We won't show it but you can read more here:
https://www.kmvt.com/2024/05/03/illegal-ryan-davidson-yard-signs-still-not-removed/
Remember, if you put a sign on private property you must have permission to do so. The fact that other signs are there does not make the location fair game for all.
If you are using saved signs from a previous campaign be sure the "paid for by" or "endorsed by" information is correct for this campaign.
Right-of-ways must still be mowed and you will lose your signs if you place them there.
Do NOT move another candidate's sign to place yours and do NOT tamper with their signs. We believe in the voters and want them to have fair and honest information to choose from.
In short, good sign etiquette serves your candidate or candidacy well. Let's all practice it.
That's the Idaho Majority way!
