In Western New York, 1 in 8 people struggle with hunger. Food insecurity does not belong to any one demographic. Those that go hungry can be your hard-working neighbor or senior on social security who tries to make ends meet. We know this to be true because FISH currently assists over 300 families from our area every month.

All of our donors for the fundraiser will be featured in our program. Your donations will ensure we raise enough funds to continue to serve those in need in our community . We hope you will support our efforts.

PLEASE NO TV'S !!!

FISH appreciates all donations of food, clothing, linens, and small household items. FISH does NOT accept used toys, used baby items (including car seats, cribs, etc. due to recalls), garage sale items, TV's or other electronics.

However, for the past month, once a week, a TV has been left at the food pantry. Whoever is leaving them, please don't. TV's can be taken to a recycle center or Best Buy for a fee of $25 or to a recycling town event held every few months for FREE. Additionally, our food pantry and clothing distribution center is run by older volunteers. Large TV's left on our doorstep are impossible to pick up. If we have to use a recycle center, the money WE have to pay is taken away from purchasing items for our needy families. Aside from a large sign, or cameras at our door, if anyone has any other ideas how to stop those from leaving TV's at our door, I would love to hear from you at 652-7272.

Thank you for the many blessings received

FISH of East Aurora, Inc. would like to thank the community for the many blessings we received during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Due to your kindness and generosity, we were able to share the joys of the holidays with 155 families during our food distribution weeks.

This year, Thanksgiving and Christmas were truly amazing. The outpouring of love and support for the FISH food pantry was unprecedented. We would especially like to thank the Aurora-Cazenovia VFW #205 for the donations of 33 turkeys and 30 hams for our families. We would also like to thank Rocko and Tara Sorrentino of Tony Rome's Globe Restaurant for the party they held on FISH's behalf for the large collection of toys and monetary donations for our Toy Day. It was truly a wonderful toy distribution with 95 families receiving toys for their children and/or grandchildren.

We would like to thank all of the local churches, businesses, clubs, organizations, youth groups, schools, and the many individuals who collected money, food, gift cards, clothing, senior bags, cookie bags, placemats, and toys. We also appreciated the time and talents of all of those who knitted mittens, scarves, and blankets for our FISH families. It is only through you that we were able to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.

Food insecurity exists and remains a constant in our community. Families continue to struggle economically and would not have been able to afford either the food or toys they received during this past holiday season. All of those who gave so generously can be rest assured you made it possible to bring joy and hope to the many families of FISH. We are so grateful for your continued support of the food pantry.

Fondly,
Judy Lamb, Executive Director
