Water Quality Notice: On Tuesday, July 8 and Wednesday, July 9, the Freehold Borough Fire Department will be testing equipment at the Park Ave. School. This important testing may have an effect on area water quality due to increased turbulence in our water distribution system stirring up sediment and minerals in our pipes causing possible discoloration in the water. While the discoloration is harmless, you may wish to let your water run clear before consumption or laundry purposes. Water quality will return to normal once the testing is complete. Thank you for your patience as our fire department conducts this important maintenance testing.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for all of New Jersey from 2PM to Midnight on Tuesday, July 8. Torrential rains of up to 2 inches per hour are possible. Please take the time to secure your property and make sure that loose items are secured against gusting winds. Avoid going out during the storm and DO NOT DRIVE through standing water which may be deeper then it appears. Avoid low-lying and flood prone areas. Stay Safe. Thunderstorms and excessive heat are predicted for the balance of the week.

Freehold Borough has been a Veteran Friendly community for sevral years. Today we celebrated not only our nation’s 249th Birthday, we also honored our first group of Veterans in our new Veterans Recognition Sign Program. We had the pleasure of honoring these five veterans, with their friends and family, by unveiling their names displayed on a Boro street and presenting them with a Resolution. We thank each of these men for their military service and their many contributions to our community.

Thank you to Dan Xavier and the Veteran Committe for all of their work brining this program to life. Special thank you to DPW for their assistance installing the signs and Freehold Borough Police Department for their assistance at each corner. God Bless America and our military!🇺🇸
