On this 20th anniversary of 9/11 help ensure that the memory of that day endures. • 8:46 a.m. Five hijackers crash American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
• 9:03 a.m. Five hijackers crash United Airlines Flight 175 into the South Tower of the World Trade Center.
• 9:37 a.m. Five hijackers crash American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon.
• 9:59 a.m. The South Tower of the World Trade Center collapses in a mere 10 seconds.
• 10:03 a.m. Four hijackers crash United Airlines Flight 93 in a field near Shanksville, Pa.
• 10:28 a.m. The North Tower of the World Trade Center collapses after burning for 102 minutes.

Wenworth Park in Downtown Lansing is home to this 9-11 memorial, at which we today placed a remembrance floral display. The public is invited to a remembrance ceremony at the park on 9/11/2021 at 8:30 am. Mayor Andy Schor and Congresswomen Elissa Slotkin will be featured speakers.
