One of the most privlaged, racist, prejudiced, discriminatory University and US institutions calling someone out on discrimination. I have seen it all. A school that had to be forced to more appropriately include people of color and stop oppressing them. The school that accepts undeserving Legacies because of their privilege and power yet harshly discriminates against students from different races, ethnicities, economics, and socio-environments is sad, RIDICULOUS USE OF TONE DEAF privilege and LAUGHABLE.
Let's be clear the handling of Dr. Claudine Gay is also about the same people who were raised being discriminatory and prejudiced. Abusing the plight of those suffering to endorse their own anti-Black/Brown agenda that they have been participating in and still are. Before she got there Harvard has been accepting money from Hamas, leaders, and those "white" men set up and signed and cashed those checks, but she is under fire.
The old white male president of Harvard that endorsed and helped N**i Germany was not fired or condemned even after the fact. More white men were given a chance and this was legitimate racist propaganda. Now a black, Haitian woman finally breaks the glass ceiling, and her words are immediately twisted to what others want to hear then stated and sold to fit the agenda.
Only the generationally privileged would not see the implications and oppressiveness that will follow. This would be an easier pill if I didn't see the same people on screen all playing the power/privilege card to escalate in a way only they can, also oppressing my people and community all my life. Owning and controlling our homes like it's the right and power over our lives and bodies. Then kicking and "New Gen Red-lining" blacks out of their generational communities discriminating against Black in favor of Brown while using gentrification to be prejudice and discriminate against us.
Before on calls to look at how the discrimination on them impacts others consideration for your own group's racist discrimination should be checked. Not doing so burns and buries the message in hindsight, shows your ignorance, and feeds division and discord among all. Most importantly you are taking away from the refugees and victims. Take your tone somewhere else.
All people should be equal, no one should be discriminated against, and those who come to the podium to speak on it need to make sure they aren't divorcing themselves from the truths and parts they play.
----When an Oppressor, presses and cries prejudice, racism, and discrimination first they to address and check their own, If not sit down and readdress how you address and consider you aren't at the top of the Hated Food Chain, stop trying to capitalize on racism too.
