East Providence Firefighters ... Local 850

Yesterday afternoon, several Local 850 members participated in the American Legion Post 10’s “The Haunted Legion” event! Members converted our Community Fire Prevention Safety trailer into a haunted house and taught the basics and importance of fire safety! It was a very successful interactive event we look forward to participating in again next year!!

This years EPFD freaky 5k is 10/19/2025 @ station 3.

Registration: 9am
Race start: 10am

L850 giving back!
Members took time away from their families this busy holiday season to shop and wrap gifts for families in need. Without their efforts, these children may not have had a Christmas. Phenomenal job!

On Saturday 9/14 and Sunday 9/15, members of EPFD will be at some of East Providence’s intersections collecting donations for fill the boot. For those who don’t know, all donations go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association which helps support research, care and advocacy.

Freaky 5k is back!

Come support the East Providence Firefighter's Local 850’s Freaky 5K road race! The race will kick off at 10:00am on Sunday 10/20/24. The course starts and ends at EPFD station 3 and will take runners through the neighborhoods of Rumford, RI. Race registration will include a T-shirt, costumes on race day are encouraged! Medals will be awarded for best racer and best costume! DJ entertainment and post-race refreshments for spectators and participants! Proceeds from the race will go towards EPFD local 850 charity fund which supports the local community of East Providence.
