Today we honored Paige Griggs with the Kiwanis Club Easton Emergency Squad Person of the Year. We thank the Kiwanis Club of Easton, PA for continuing to present this award. Thank you also to Vice Mayor Councilman Frank J. Pintabone Councilwoman Crystal Rose Rep. Bob Freeman, and County executive Tara Zrinski for your support and attending this event to honor Paige.

Paige started with us as a student with the Lafayette College EMS Club a few years ago. She has since graduated and started her career in Engineering, affectionately called her "big girl job" around the station. Thankfully for us she still manages to make time to be part of our EMS Family.

Paige is hardworking, kind, funny, caring, compassionate and genuinely just one of the best humans we know. Her always positive energy is contagious and every shift with her here is an adventure.

Congratulations Paige, this award is so well deserved, and we, as well as the communities we serve are lucky to have you as part of our family.

PS Ms. Paige- no this award does not mean we can get a new station pet! 😂💙

Record breaking temps are expected this week, so we have a few cool tips 😅 to help you stay safe the next few days!

☀️ Drink plenty of water! Stay away from energy drinks, and that cold beer may be refreshing however you will end up regretting that later, we promise! Oh and all you coffee drinkers, Iced or hot its not so great, anddd we hate to be the barer of bad news but the ice in the iced coffee doesn't count sorry not sorry 🤣
☀️ If you have to be outside take breaks in the shade or in the air conditioning when you can.
☀️ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting lightweight clothing.
☀️ Never hang out, leave children, or pets in a parked vehicles —not even for a minute.
☀️ Check on your elderly neighbors, and neighbors with tiny humans. Babies and elderly have a tougher time in the heat than others.
☀️The River.... STAY OUT OF IT UNLESS YOU ARE WEARING A PROPERLY FITTED LIFE JACKET!!

If you or someone around you starts experiencing dizziness, confusion, nausea, heavy sweating, or stops sweating altogether, don't try to "tough it out." Heat-related illnesses can become life-threatening very quickly. Call 911 if you suspect you or someone else is having a heat related emergency.

One more thing .... if the sidewalk is hot enough to fry and egg on, it's definitely too hot for bare feet (or your dog's paws).

Our crews are here 24/7, but we'd much rather wave to you than meet you because the heat got the best of you. Stay cool, Stay safe, and Stay Hydrated! 🚑🧡

Exciting news!!! We took delivery of the brand new re-designed 2082 last week. It is stocked and ready for state licensure in the next week or so! As you will see in the pictures, some of our cutest and littlest supporters who are the next generation of Easton Emergency Squad were there with us to celebrate!

This new ambulance as well as its twin; that will be here at the end of the year shows our commitment to making sure the communities we serve are getting the best services possible with the best reliable equipment.

Huge thank you to our Board of Directors for making this happen, and for all they have done to keep our wheels moving and supporting our team!

To Tony and our friends at VCI, you all have made this process so easy, and the quality of work as well as the graphics are amazing! Thank you for making our vision a reality!

When you see our new ambulance you will see a new, however old school design. These colors get us back to the roots of Easton Emergency Squad. This team will continue to strive to be the best we can and make those who put their hearts into building this organization many years ago proud. 🫶🏼🧡

It’s EMS Week !!! We just want to say thank you to our crews, neighboring agencies, hospital staff, and the community that trusts us every day.

This year’s EMS Week theme is “Improving Outcomes, Together,” and honestly that fits exactly what emergency services should be. Nobody does this job alone.

Easton Emergency Squad keeps growing, improving, and pushing forward. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring in better equipment, and training to better serve our city and surrounding communities. We are proud to say that in a couple weeks, a new truck will be hitting the streets! Longtime Easton, Glendon, and Williams Township residents, along with the legacy members of Easton Emergency Squad and Williams Township EMS may recognize a little piece of the past in the design. It’s a reminder that even with new faces and new ideas, we still value the roots of this organization and the people who put their heart and soul into building it. 👀🧡

To all our staff — thank you for continuing to show up, work hard, and care about this job and this community as much as you do.

🖤 Mental Health Awareness Month 🖤

In emergency services, we see people on some of the worst days of their lives. What people don’t always see is the weight we carry long after the call is over.

This month is a reminder to check on each other, talk about the tough ones, remember that even the strongest providers need support too. Taking care of each other and your own mental health matters just as much as taking care of our community.

This weekend, our crews spent time sharpening their skills during TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) training, led by the Lehigh Valley Pocono’s Training Institute.

From classroom work to hands-on scenarios, our providers were pushed to think fast, work together, and operate under pressure—just like the calls we train for.

We take training seriously because our community deserves the best when it matters most. This is the kind of work that makes sure we’re ready for whatever comes next.

The photos don’t even do it justice, but they give a glimpse into the level of training our team is committed to.

Huge thank you to our instructors Steve, Jon and Dr. Roesler for challenging our crews and bringing real-world experience to the table. You all were amazing!

Also a special shout out to our Lafayette EMS Club students who stepped in as patients—we appreciate you taking part and helping make the scenarios as real as possible!

Strong work, and congratulations to all the students, we are proud to have you all as part of our team!
