We at CVTL had the privilege of hosting Brian, President and Board Chair, at Asheville Tool Library today. He is currently in the Minneapolis area visiting family, but dropped by to rain down knowledge and wisdom onto Ryan and me. Brian taught us a lot about how and why Asheville is so successful, and we look forward to implementing their great ideas. Stay tuned for more and more good things, friends!

Grantee Spotlight of the Week!! 🎉🎉🎉

This week, we’re excited to spotlight Chippewa Valley Tool Library!

Chippewa Valley Tool Library is working to make tools, equipment, and creative space more accessible to neighbors and partners throughout the Chippewa Valley. Through tool lending, educational programming, and shared workspace, they help individuals, families, and organizations build, repair, and create without the high cost of owning every tool themselves. 🛠️

The 2026 Community Grant Cycle funding will help launch a community tool library in Eau Claire, providing shared tools, skill-building classes, and inclusive workspace access. 💙

Thank you for helping reduce waste, build confidence, and create a welcoming space where neighbors can learn, collaborate, and bring projects to life. 👏

Why charge for membership, you might ask? As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are volunteer-run and member-sustained. We get grants and donations here and there, but memberships are how we keep the lights on and the saws buzzing.
