The Eclectic Echo

The Eclectic Echo former local reporter, maybe getting back into it. former council member, not entirely bothered by failure in the democratic process.

A place for residents of the Town of Eclectic to share ideas, updates and opinions on local government and community life. I plan to start sharing more in this space about town council business and local events, maybe even the occasional live video feed of all the exciting town council action.

I've been trying to rename this page. No one ever really engaged with it anyway (hence the long lack of posts); but for full disclosure, I was trying preserve the previous posts while it transitions to a new name.
I'm not a councilman anymore, but I plan to stay engaged in local politics in the Eclectic community. The new brand will be called The Eclectic Echo.
Sadly, i can't figure out -- even with help, both human and AI -- i've yet to figure out how to just rename this page. So there's likely another page incoming, called The Eclectic Echo.
I'd be amused if anyone even saw this post, though, tbh.

These trails are a hidden treasure of our area, and were largely made possibly by local hiker, and former council member, Jimmy K. Lanier.

Last week, we took you to Smith Mountain and showed you the beautiful views of Lake Martin from the fire tower, but did you know it’s actually a part of a bigger trail system? This week we’re learning more about the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail System.
