CENTER FOCUS: Find out how a DEVCOM Chemical Biological Center post-doctoral fellow went from playing with science kits as a child to contributing to the Center’s long-term initiative to establish itself as a leading partner in bio-manufacturing.

“To see a team of researchers making batches of more than 1,000 liters of biomanufactured material, about the size of a craft beer brewery tank, was very exciting. I also appreciated the excitement the members of the Center’s team had about what they were doing,”
-Dr. Anna Crumbley, National Research Council (NRC) Research Associateship Program Fellow

The U.S. Army is asking small companies for proposals to provide more secure communications to Soldiers operating in contested environments. The Low-Cost, Low Probability of Detection (LC/LPD) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) opportunity seeks solutions that work seamlessly with existing directional communications systems and that use an undetectable waveform that allows for secure communications when Soldiers operate near adversaries or in areas where high radio traffic creates interference.

Two webinars will give interested businesses a chance to interact directly with Army stakeholders who will outline the LC/LPD requirements and answer related questions. Companies can register for the webinar at http://spr.ly/6184HqEco to be held Tuesday, March 16, at 1 p.m. ET.

Webinar capacity is limited, so interested participants are advised to register early. Businesses interested in learning more about this topic by speaking directly with a technical point of contact can schedule a call at http://spr.ly/6185HqEcU. @aal_innovation #ArmyNetworks #TeamDEVCOM #ArmyFutures http://spr.ly/6186HqEcq
