A message from CLEAT Executive Director, Charley Wilkison, regarding COVID-19 and presumptive:

Cities like Corpus Christi, counties like Lynn County and insurance carriers have all been emboldened to deny law enforcement line of duty death cases caused by COVID-19. This will continue until the Governor does the right thing and issues an Executive Order making COVID-19 a Presumptive illness for all first responders. These families deserve better and CLEAT will not stop fighting for them until something is done!

(Note: The Lynn Co. Commissioners Court voted just today, July 29, 2020, to fund the funeral escort AFTER the fact.)
