Madeira wine is woven into America’s fight for liberty. In 1768, British seizure of Hancock’s ship Liberty, laden with Madeira, sparked riots in Boston and helped ignite the Revolution. After signing the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, Hancock, Franklin, the Adamses, and others toasted to liberty with Madeira.

In February 2026, while visiting Madeira, Portugal, Wade Burleson acquired the last vintage bottle from the same family winery that supplied John Hancock and America’s Founding Fathers.

This coming Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at OCPAC, we will raise a glass to toast of this historic Madeira.

It is good to hear there are still legislators at the Capitol who care about the hardworking people of Oklahoma. Oklahomans are waking up. Grassroots voices are rising, demanding real fiscal responsibility.

Too many leaders are out of touch and lack integrity. For too long, backroom deals and closed-door negotiations have blocked real conservative priorities. Establishment leadership has sidelined principled voices, protected the status quo, and failed to deliver the bold fiscal responsibility Oklahoma families deserve.

It’s past time to change the leadership in the Senate.

Another great OCPAC Legislative Panel on March 25 featuring a strong lineup of conservative lawmakers: Representative Rob Hall, Senator Randy Grellner, Representative Stacy Jo Adams, and Senator Kendal Sacchieri!

These legislators are steadfast champions of principled conservatism. In the panel, they engaged in robust discussions on pressing issues, including advancing limited government, free-market solutions, strong families, meaningful education reform, and resolute opposition to establishment-driven and lobbyist-influenced legislations.
