Erika Barnett is a longtime Edmonds resident, small business owner, and community leader with a passion
for bringing people together and preserving what makes Edmonds special. For over a decade, Erika has championed local businesses and community engagement through her service on the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Board, including two years as Board Chair. She has played a key role in supporting economic growth and celebrating beloved Edmonds traditions like the 4th of July Parade, Tree Lighting Festival, and the annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat. As co-owner of Salish Sea Brewing Company, Erika understands the challenges and opportunities facing small businesses. Under her leadership, the brewery has become more than just a place to gather—it’s a hub for fundraisers, nonprofit events, live music, and local arts. She has worked tirelessly to build a sense of community and create spaces where people can connect and thrive. Beyond her business experience, Erika brings strong financial management, budget prioritization, and cross-group collaboration skills, developed through her work with global organizations like Microsoft and local initiatives. She has served on the Mayor’s Budget Prioritization Committee, advocated for families and business owners in City Council meetings, and actively participated in Comprehensive Plan discussions to help shape Edmonds’ future. As a mother of two children in the Edmonds School District, Erika is deeply invested in the city’s future.
