Join #AmericasTankDivision as they celebrate the 246th birthday of the U.S. Army at Iron Soldier Field. They will have static vehicle and weapons displays today. In addition to those displays, the museum will have historical displays, AAFES will host Food Trucks and a mobile barber shop from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 3 p.m., join The Real Iron 7 and Command Sgt. Maj. Michael Williams as they commemorate the occasion with a ceremonial cake cutting!

*UPDATE* The 24.6-hour birthday run is CANCELLED. We put the safety of our Soldiers above all else, and, considering El Paso’s historic high temperatures right now, we have decided to celebrate only on Monday. We will still have food trucks and static displays, and, of course the ceremonial cake cutting.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration expanded the emergency use authorization (EUA) of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 15. Once the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) issues guidance on the vaccine's recommended use, the Department of Defense is planning to begin offering vaccinations to DoD beneficiaries 12 to 15 years of age.

WBAMC will begin administering the Pfizer vaccine to the new age group once the DoD approves and gives guidance to do so. We will make public announcements when it is time to begin. Parents and guardians that have questions regarding vaccinations are encouraged to discuss their concerns with a medical provider.
