El Paso County Judge and Commissioners Approve Resolution Declaring July 3rd to August 3rd as a Month of Unity and Healing

El Paso, Texas-County Judge Ricardo Samaniego is calling on all entities, organizations and businesses near and far to participate in a “Month of Unity and Healing” in order to light a path toward goodwill as we approach the anniversary of the senseless and horrific tragedy that befell our community on August 3, 2019.

“The pain that was felt in El Paso echoed throughout the Nation as we all mourned the beautiful lives that were taken,” said County Judge Samaniego. “Only in unity can we work to bring out the best in humanity and overcome the hatred in our society that led to this horrible act.”

The County Commissioners Court recently approved a resolution declaring July 3rd to August 3rd as a “Month of Unity and Healing” in El Paso County, Texas. Judge Samaniego has also announced that the date of the County's Healing Garden at Ascarate Park will be unveiled on August 3, 2021.
