Shoutout to some of our outstanding Soldiers who went above and beyond in their duties during the BSA field exercise! Working outside of their MOS and stepping up beyond their rank, they showed incredible dedication to the entire battalion. From serving meals to the entire BN, maintaining deep knowledge of multiple VSATs, and ensuring all connections ran 24/7 during field operations, their commitment was unmatched. Always eager to help and going out of their way to assist wherever needed, they embodied the true meaning of selfless service.

At the close-out formation, these Soldiers from across the battalion were recognized for their hard work during the exercise and were presented with a battalion coin by LTC Jed Hudson and CSM Tracy Jones. Congratulations and well-deserved!

Alpha Company executed refueling, transportation, and distribution support missions in partnership with the 383rd 383rd Quartermaster Battalion (Army Reserve Unit) while supporting Task Force 1’s movement to the Tactical Assembly Area (TAA).

Bravo Company sustained the fleet in the field, conducted Combat Life Saver (CLS) training, and practiced Prisoner of War (POW) search procedures to enhance tactical readiness.

The 47th Brigade Support Battalion (BSB) proudly participated in the Annual Winter Festival in El Paso, fostering a strong connection between the 1st Armored Division and the local community. Under the leadership of LTC Jed Hudson and CSM Tracy Jones and with MSG William Smith coordinating efforts, the soldiers showcased two JLTVs (Joint Light Tactical Vehicles) adorned with dazzling holiday lights. This creative display highlighted the battalion’s dedication to spreading cheer and strengthening the bond between Fort Bliss and El Paso residents. The event exemplified the unit’s commitment to community engagement, showcasing the holiday spirit and the shared values between the military and the city they call home.

Today, we bid farewell to Command Sergeant Major Creed, the 47th BSB CSM, whose leadership has been a guiding light during our European rotation. CSM Creed is a leader who has always put Soldiers first, paving the way for career growth and progression for each of us. He’s not only a figure at the front—he’s someone we can all approach, from the most junior Soldier to senior ranks, with genuine openness and care. His wealth of knowledge, coupled with his approachable demeanor, has made him a mentor we could trust.

CSM Creed’s impact goes beyond the duties of his position. Every battalion formation, he would go to each company every week, giving every Soldier a fist bump—a simple gesture that meant so much, uniting us as a team and lifting morale. His ability to foster unity and inject a sense of lighthearted spirit into our work is something we’ll dearly miss.

As we say goodbye to CSM Creed, we carry forward the values he’s instilled in us. Thank you for leading us with integrity, humor, and a true commitment to each of our journeys. You will be missed, CSM Creed—farewell, and all the best on your next chapter!
