Caffeine can boost endurance & mental performance, assist with restricted sleep and sustained operations.

Despite this, aim to get sleep. Caffeine is not an adequate replacement for sleep and should be avoided 4-6 hours before bed.

While it is important to engage in regular, planned physical activity, our step count can play a big role as well.

The current recommendation for good health is to aim for 10,000 steps per day. However, anything above your current daily step count is going to be beneficial.

“- Masks are still required for certain garrison facilities upon the Garrison Commander’s discretion, e.g., masks are still required for everyone at the Main PX Store and Commissary in order to protect our most vulnerable populations who depend on these services.

- Masks are also still required in all medical facilities regardless of vaccination status. Yes, the SRPC too!

- Masks are no longer required at on-post gyms with proof of vaccination card and ID. Anyone without a vaccination card must still wear a mask.”

If you are doing more than one test during the same appointment and they have different fasting requirements, you will need to follow the stricter guidelines (ex. metabolic testing AND body composition (Bod Pod) testing will follow metabolic testing requirements).

This body composition tracking system relies on a patented scientific process using air displacement. The test is non-invasive and takes 3-5 minutes. It provides excellent tracking for individuals that want to to see a change in their body composition. High level athletes such as Olympians use this system and has been the exclusive body composition testing method at the NFL Combine since 2006. At the AWC, we recommend getting re-evaluated every 30 days to see the changes from improved nutrition and exercise. Call 915-742-9566 to schedule an appointment. Open to all DoD ID card holders (Active Duty, Dependents, Retirees, & DA Civilians).
