DA civilians from the U.S. Army Fielding Operations Branch in Anniston, Alabama, teamed up with Soldiers from across the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team to conduct vital vehicle maintenance in support of the Division’s Operational Readiness Program.
The Fielding Operations Branch’s mission is to ensure every piece of equipment is fully mission-capable—guaranteeing that the Iron Soldiers of the 1st Armored Division remain ready, lethal, and prepared for the upcoming rotation.

Fort Bliss, TX, December, 18th, 2025 –COL Soyka and CSM Theus, Fort Bliss Garrison Commander and Command Sergeant Major awarded SGT Emily A. Nelson of 585th CEC-A, 16th Engineering Battalion and PFC Gabrielle Padilla of Cutlass Company, 4th Battalion, 70th Armored Regiment Garrison Coins for winning the best barracks competition.

They also receive Brigade Coins from the Brigade Command Sergeant Major, CSM Deleon.

Fort Bliss, TX, December, 15Th, 2025 – Soldiers of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division Participated in a soldier of the quarter board in conjunction with an ugly sweater contest. The winner of soldier of the quarter is SPC Isaac Atkins. The winner for the NCO of the quarter is SGT Austin Snider.

Fort Bliss, TX, December, 11th, 2025 – Soldiers from the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division took part in a holiday themed best Barracks room competition. Participants were graded on theme, aesthetic appeal, cleanliness, functionality, and attention to detail the theme for this competition being holiday festivities. The best barracks room for Junior Enlisted is PFC Padillia of 4th Battalion, 70th Armor Regiment, and the best barracks room for junior NCO is SGT Nelson of 16th Engineering Battalion.

A Shoutout out to SGT Aguilar our previous back to back winner, who decided to retire from the competition after demonstrating excellence.

Fort Bliss, TX, November, 26Th, 2025 –Members of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division proudly participate in the annual Turkey Bowl. This tradition is a highly anticipated flag football tournament where each battalion from the Brigade puts forward its top teams to compete for the coveted Turkey Bowl trophy.
This year, 6th Squadron, 1st Cavalry Regiment claims the title of Brigade Champion. The 16th Engineer Battalion earns runner-up honors. The performance of both teams reflects the spirit of excellence that defines the formation.
Brigade leadership also takes time to recognize exceptional achievement across the formation for impressive efforts during the National Training Center Rotation 26-01.

Rotation 26-01 continued at the National Training Center/Fort Irwin as the 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division and supporting units moved into Phase IIB training objectives on October 8, 2025.
Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO) training objectives are established to challenge and enhance readiness of an Armored Brigade Combat Team, preparing them to win the first fight of the next war.
