The U.S. Secretary of Defense has authorized the use of masks in instances where social distancing cannot feasibly be maintained, such as for mission essential personnel at work centers. All individuals (Soldiers, Contractors, and DA Civilians) who are unable to maintain social distancing guidelines wear a face mask that covers the mouth and nose to minimize exposure to themselves and others. All other 1AD service members are authorized to wear masks. When in uniform follow the guidance below:
-Only colors which are specific to the duty uniform, with the addition of coyote brown and black, are authorized unless wearing a medical mask. The medical mask must be neutral or similar to the typical blue masks that medical personnel wear. Unit commanders make the determination on a case-by-case basis. There is not a requirement for an entire unit to have a mask of the same color. No logos or writing are authorized on the masks.
-Service members are authorized to wear their issued gloves and eye protection within the standards prescribed in AR 670-1.
-Effective immediately: Soldiers conducting ASP missions, either issues, turn in, or regular operations, wear a face mask. IAW FBTX guidance, neck gators, scarfs, or medical masks are appropriate. #IIICorpsCOVID19 #COVID19

The Real Bulldog 6

Charger Family,

Over the next 4 to 5 days our Company will re-deploy from the field. This will be very deliberate and controlled to ensure safety and accountability. Please remain patient as this plan develops and we set conditions for our unit to remain mission ready in the face of both COVID-19 and whatever our Nation requires.

-CPT Roberts, Charger 6

Bulldog Team,
In anticipation for increased response to the COVID-19 virus, the Brigade will begin a deliberate movement out of the field beginning tomorrow. This mission will take several days - everyone will NOT be back tomorrow. When we return we will recover our equipment, the Iron Focus exercise is canceled. The Brigade will run a day and night shift for two reasons: first, to alleviate pressure on those dual working families impacted by school and daycare closures; and two to limit the number of people working at one time. We will provide more detailed information through your Soldiers’ chain of command. We will also continue to share the latest Fort Bliss information on our 3ABCT page. Thank you all for your support and patience as conditions change and we adapt to change with them.
