It's 2023 and we're starting off with out first Open Mic Poetry Event for the year! Adults and teens age 14+ are invited to come out to the Theodore Johns Library located on Fannett Rd. on the 4th Saturday of each month and share poetry with other artists. Poems can be original, or you can recite or read one of your favorite poets if you give them credit. Not ready to get up there yet? That's okay! We encourage audience members to attend. This is a casual, encouraging atmosphere with no harsh judgements or attitudes. No fees, just a night of enjoyment for everyone. January's event is on the 28th from 6:00PM-7:30PM.

Beginning in January, Community Health and the BPLS have teamed up to deliver help and information to patrons at all the libraries. Each Thursday they will at a different library offering their services to help people sign up for Medicare savings, CHIP, STAR, and SNAP. No registration is required.
