A great artical by one of our Division’s own, the former Pioneer 6 and now Iron 4. This is the framework of our Concept of Support.

Brigade logistics is hard; this should incentivize leaders to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) that are clear and concepts of support (COS) that are precise. Brigades at NTC routinely face mission failure because they do not establish a clear and consistent approach to executing critical sustainment tasks.

This article provides scaffolding for the development of the COS and unit SOPs, anchored on three pillars. Read the full article here:

1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division

To the Soldiers and Families of the RFCT,

1. On 26 October 2020, the El Paso COVID-19 task force identified three main vectors of COVID-19 transmission in the El Paso area: (1) visiting stores; (2) eating at restaurants; and (3) traveling to Mexico. The continuing spread of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) necessitates renewed vigilance. I am issuing refined guidance requiring Battalion and Squadron commanders to assess how they can best balance readiness with mitigation of exposure to COVID-19 within their own units. These mitigation measures will preserve force readiness, limit the continuing spread of the virus and the help preserve the health and welfare of Servicemembers, DA civilian employees, their families, and the local communities in which we live. The purpose and intent of this updated policy is to reduce exposure of our Soldiers, Families and Communities to infection.2. This policy applies to all members of the Ready First Combat Team (RFCT). This manning directive supersedes the previous Brigade policy directive dated 16 October 2020. Furthermore, nothing in this policy supersedes or is meant to contradict the Fort Bliss Third Amended Fort Bliss Come to Work Safe, Live Safe Order issued by the FBTX Senior Commander (26 October 2020), however, this policy adds specified Brigade guidance. 3. This policy is punitive with regards to all RFCT Soldiers. Failure to comply with this policy may result in either punitive action under the UCMJ or result in other adverse administrative actions.4. This policy is effective immediately until rescinded. In addition, I will review this policy within 14 calendar days of implementation.

READY FIRST
The purpose and intent of this updated policy is to REDUCE EXPOSURE of our Soldiers, Families, and Communities to infection.

Key highlights are as follows:

- Policy applies to all members of the RFCT and adds specified Brigade guidance.
- Policy is punitive with regards to all RFCT Soldiers.
- Soldiers are prohibited from sharing cups/canteens, vapes, or any other personal item or utensil.
- C/B/T formations for duty and physical training will be socially distanced in a manner that allows personnel to maintain a space interval of 6 feet at all times.
- Masks will be worn for all physical training activities except cardiovascular running and foot marches. Sprints, strength training, and calisthenics all require masks to be worn. Units will not conduct runs or foot marches above the squad level as a mass formation.
- (Recommended Practice – with flexibility for BN/SQDN CDRs to be more restrictive) As a general rule, Soldiers and Families should minimize their exposure with the local populace in El Paso and with other service members that are not in their unit.
- Authorization of BN/SQDN CDRs to institute split shift operations to prevent congregating in large groups (services, SSA operations).
- Restriction from dining in at any off post establishment. Soldiers may order carry-out from off post restaurants.

Hey Providers! It’s time to get scary! Come out to the BSBs Trunk or Treat event this year. Due to Covid-19 we will only be doing a drive through trunk or treat.
.
Fear not though because all those Trunkers will be screen by Medics same day prior to the event.
.
Treaters can enjoy a nice leisurely stroll in the safety of their vehicles while still receiving candy and viewing these spooky master pieces!
.
Start time is going to be noon and will go until 2pm down Foot Soldier Road (between the barracks and the DFAC).

Welcome to the 501st BSB virtual town hall meeting! Today we are going to discuss the training guidelines and expectations for the next 90 days.

At the end there will be a Q&A portion where Soldiers and their family members can ask the command team any questions pertaining to up coming training events.

Please remember that Operations Security still applies and some items cannot be discussed via Facebook. Also remember to keep comments and questions respectful as this is a page for families of Soldiers. Thank you

This unit was by far the worst unit I have ever been in! I helped stand up this unit on Ft Bliss, deployed to Iraq, and in the unit for about 5 years. I was one of the few NCO's we had at the time that was completely dependable on getting the mission done. When I left the unit, they never gave me a PCS award or anything! Now that's leadership taking care of their subordinates!!!
