The good news is that veteran entrepreneurs continue to pursue small business ownership while small business owners seek opportunities to growth their businesses. The Veteran Entrepreneur Program (VEP) provides these veterans with guidance on conducting market research, writing business plans, and developing financial projections to get them lender-ready.

Additionally, VEP team members follow the changing landscape of available funding options for those veteran owned businesses impacted by COVID-19, communicating directly with the SBA and ensuring the most recent news is available to those who need it by posting the information on the VEP webpage, https://www.tvc.texas.gov/entrepreneurs/ [tvc.texas.gov].

If you know of a veteran considering small business ownership, direct them to the VEP webpage to complete the form which will route directly to the business consultant in their region. You can also send veterans the attached VEP infographic which has information on more of the services available, our email, and main phone number.

El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego

Yesterday was indeed a difficult day for me with respect to my decision to be more restrictive. It's not an easy task to make these decisions, while balancing the profound importance of public health, and the impact that this relentless virus has levied upon a striving economy. The intent of establishing a 2 week prohibition on specific activities was to align our resources and to initiate a clearer strategy to address the present surge that we have been experiencing; not only throughout the County, but the entire region.
We are dealing with a world-wide surge, but our situation in El Paso is much more unique. Slowing down our activities will allow us to initiate root-caused initiatives instead of being statistical spectators. It is my strong intent to work with our Juarez and Dona Anna County leadership and systematically take to heart the much needed regional focus. It is my hope that the community joins our challenge to draw ourselves back to a voluntary Stay Home, Work Safe Order to aggressively minimize the loss of lives and the destructive nature of this insidious pandemic.
Our community deserves direction and true strategic interventions. Testing and contact tracing are vital at this time, but these are still only components of finding a solution. We need our community to step-up and be stronger as we all have to be united during these challenging times. I have a tremendous amount of confidence that our relentless Congresswoman Veronica Escobar, State Delegation, and other community leaders will support our collaborative efforts and do all that they can to protect the health of El Paso. One day at a time with thoughtful and deliberate steps will be my beacon and grain of hope during this pandemic.

On this day in 1775, the Continental Congress established the U.S. Navy. Almost 200 years later, in 1972, Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Admiral Elmo R. Zumwalt made October 13th the official birthday. Since then, each year on this day, the CNO has invoked celebration to honor the Navy's heritage. Happy 245th, @USNavy!

I think your events do not match up with the date time that you posted on the Zoom invite.
Can someone please help me with a question or 2? My rating was updated to a higher percentage and I received back pay and everything, and today they paid me my old rating even after receiving a warrant that suggested my updated rating. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you to all of you who have bravely served our country, you're incredible heroes! I've been feeling very patriotic recently and decided to watch a new documentary on Army Aviators deployed in Afghanistan called Above the Best. The film is the latest work of director David Salzberg, who has produced many other noteworthy combat films such as Hornet's Nest and Citizen Soldier. The film reminded me of how truly incredible our soldiers are and I thought it was really wonderful that the veterans within the documentary were open to having such an honest discussion on the mental health struggles they've faced. Just thought it shined a well-deserved spotlight on these men and women and wanted to share with others who I felt might appreciate it. The trailer is on the official website and the movie is available on VOD pretty much everywhere if you're interested!
I have been trying to contact your office for 2 months now. I have been calling the phone number that was given to me through messenger and have had no luck getting through. Nobody has answered the phone when I call and was forwarded to a Claudia Martinez's voicemail and have not gotten a call back.
