The Soul Seekers conducted a change of commander ceremony on Friday before the four day weekend. CPT Nyugen handed over command of the battery to CPT Gentry. CPT Gentry is no stranger to the Soul Seekers or to the Warrior Battalion, working as the S6 OIC prior to taking command.

The soldiers, NCOs, and Officers would like to thank CPT Nyugen and his family for their tireless effort and care for all members of Soul Seeker Battery.

The battery would also like to welcome CPT Gentry into his new role and we are excited for what the future brings.

The Warriors held a Hail and Farewell on 28 August 2019 at the Bricktown Tap House and Kitchen. The event was organized and put on by Echo Company 2-43 ADA. It was started off with Hailing all the newcomers to the Battalion that are a PSG and above. The event ended by Farewelling all the Leadership that are PCSing. It is always a bittersweet moment when you have to say goodbye to Warrior because they are our family. But we know they are moving on to the next stage in their career and will continue to do the Warrior Way of winning.

1LT Hicks, our Battalion PA, conducted site visits to check on the medics and ran some surprise trauma casualties. Afterwards, the medics had some hand IV classes and trained on traction splints/pelvic binders. Thank you to all command teams who allowed us to train at your site and use soldiers as casualties.

The Fire Direction Section, Communications Relay Group, and Medic element have been out in the field supporting the battalion in their gunnery certifications. They will return for the four day and return to the field in order to ensure that the battalion is certified, trained to fight, and battle ready.

It consisted of having to navigate to each station and complete whatever exercise that was part of that station. Bliss traffic lights advisory … new intersections affected

Traffic lights on Haan Road at the intersections of Haan/JEB Stuart, Haan/Chaffee, and Haan/Carrington continue to flash amber for the east and westbound directions on Haan and flash red for the north and southbound directions on the intersecting streets.

In addition, traffic lights at Cassidy/Chaffee and Cassidy/Carrington will flash red in all directions beginning today (Aug. 13).

The flashing hours are from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. seven days a week.

Officials ask that drivers use caution at each of the noted locations.

Reminder: Drivers approaching a flashing red light should come to a complete stop before continuing through the intersection. Drivers approaching a flashing yellow light should proceed with caution through the intersection.

On Thursday, July 25, 2019, LTC Carina L. Kelley held her first official Award Ceremony for the Warrior Battalion since taking Command. There have been many big achievements over the last few months and she wanted to make sure those individuals were recognized properly. This award ceremony was also special because A/2-43 ADA was able to present SFC Council’s Retirement MSM. You don’t get to see or do that every day! Always a great day to be a Warrior!

Friday, 12 July 2019, was a bittersweet day for the Soulseeker family as it was the last day for CPT Seth J. Kadavy as Soulseeker 6. The battery wishes him and his family all the best and we appreciate all he has done for us to make us one of the most formidable batteries in 32nd AAMDC.

The Soulseekers also welcomed our new commander, CPT Vu L. Nguyen, and we are excited to continue to excel under his leadership.

The Polish Military hosted the Tobruq Legacy 2019 Closing Ceremony on June 14, officially ending the exercise. The exercise was a total of four days. During the span of that time there was a lot learned and gained as people and subject matter experts.
