2021 Advance Child Tax Credit Payments will be issued beginning July 15.

Eligible families can receive up to $300 per month per child under age 6 and up to $250 per month for children age 6 and above.

Even those with no earned income or who don't owe any federal income taxes can still receive the credit, if eligible. However, to receive these advance payments, they must have filed a 2019 or 2020 tax return. Unfortunately, many have not done so.

If there is not an event in your immediate area, please be aware that people who are not required to file a tax return and who did not file in 2019 or 2020 can use the Non-Filer Sign-up Tool on irs.gov.

El Paso Center For Children's Strong Families invites you to attend Living The Protective Factors Workshops.

This summer they are offering two options for attending the training.

July 15th, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
and
August 9th and 10th, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

They are striving to strengthen families daily! Training is open to parents, caregivers, family members, and providers. Please choose one of the two dates. They are offering the training in a full-day format and two half days.

This workshop gives participants the opportunity to "test-drive" the five research-based Strengthening Families Protective Factors that are proven to keep children safe and families strong. Highly interactive, fun, and informative, the workshop begins with understanding the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and presents the Protective Factors as a concrete way to mitigate the long-term impact of trauma. For both parents and providers, these workshops result in participants having practical insight and strategies for overcoming obstacles and strengthening our own family- from the inside out.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion upon completion.

Please note, there are no CEUs available for this training. There is no cost for this training (FREE).

Please register with Be Strong Families by using one of the links below. Once you have registered please email Jenn Phelps - [email protected] and confirm your registration for our internal records. Seating is limited to the first 30 registrants.
