NATIONAL CALL TO ACTION:
September 25th — 27th
Demand Justice for Wilber Rafael Garcés-Pérez!

The Legalization for All Network (L4A) denounces the ICE shooting of Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez. Garcés Pérez. He was working when he was shot in the back, the bullet mere inches from killing him, on September 20th in Austin, TX.

Wilber Garcés Pérez, 28, was making a Door Dash delivery when an unidentified ICE car sideswiped his smaller car. He says that at no point did ICE identify themselves, and he thought he was simply being attacked. ICE without justification shot him on the back of the neck, handcuffed him after being shot, and placed him on the road, bleeding.

We are calling on all to begin mobilizing now for an action demanding justice for Wilber Raf Garcés-Pérez

El Paso, TX - Solidarity with the protestors inside DHS Camp East Montana

Reports are coming out regarding detained immigrants launching protests and hunger strikes inside DHS Camp East Montana, the largest detention center in the country.

These actions are in response to the inhumane conditions immigrants are facing inside the detention center, including medical neglect, nutritional deficiency, brutality, prolonged detention with no clear date of release even when requesting deportation, and families unable to contact their loved ones. .

Carlos Montes from Centro CSO Centro CSO, our member organization in Los Angeles, voiced our solidarity with the detained protesters.

"We're here in solidarity with all the people that are inside Camp Montana that are now protesting and rising up to demand justice. We at Legalization for All say legalization for all, no deportation, solidarity with the people inside Camp Montana."

Free our people, free them all!
Legalization for all!
Solidarity with the protestors inside DHS Camp East Montana!

L4A National Week of Action – Sept 9th – 13th

Three attacks are set to take place between September 9th and 13th:
1. Salvadoran Temporary Protective Status (TPS) expires September 9th
2. Trump vows to revoke 200,000 visas
3. The midterm Republican National Convention (RNC) September 9th and 10th

L4A calls on all affiliated grassroots organizations to hit the streets to reject Trump’s agenda, defend Salvadoran TPS, and demand a stop to the revocation of 200,000 visas.

BACKGROUND:
Salvadoran TPS, which was granted by President George W Bush March 9th, 2001 after two major earthquakes devastated the nation, expires on September 9th. 170,125 Salvadorans benefit from TPS which allows them to legally work and be free from risk of deportation. On July 27, 2026 Trump refused to renew TPS for Haitians and 350,000 of them now are forced to wear ankle monitors, have been terrorized, and deported. Haitian TPS was signed by President Obama in January 2010 after a tremendous earthquake wrecked Haiti. Meanwhile Ukrainian TPS has been extended for six more months. It was to expire on October 19, 2026 but was “automatically extended”, expiring now on April 19, 2027.

With Trump’s administration vowing to cancel over 200,000 visas, this could be the largest single mass revocation of visas in U.S. history. The visas in question are B-1 (business) and B-2 (tourist) visas which were issued between 2016 and 2026 (Trump’s first term was 2017-2021).

For the first time in U.S. history, the Republican Party is hosting a midterm RNC. It will take place in Dallas, Texas for two hours each day of September 9th and 10th. It is taking place at the American Airlines Center and the Trump administration is delivering another agenda that we fully reject.

L4A stands in solidarity with the Dallas Against Trump Coalition in their protest of the midterm RNC. In our national call to action, we denounce Trump’s and the Republican Party’s attack on immigrants – especially Salvadoran and Haitian ones. Escalated ICE terror and killings, detentions and deportations, have got to go. YA BASTA!

STOP TRUMP’S AGENDA – STOP ICE & THE DEPORTATIONS!

The Legalization for All Network demands that Trump uphold Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for El Salvador and stop his plans for the largest single mass revocation of visas in U.S. history.

On September 9th, TPS for El Salvador is set to expire. The program provides protection from deportation, work authorization, and travel permission. It was enacted by President George W Bush on March 9, 2001, after two major earthquakes devastated the nation. 170,125 Salvadorans residing in the U.S. rely on these legal protections for their everyday needs.

Salvadorans are the third-largest Latino population in the United States, with the majority residing in the Southwest with 32% in California and 14% in Texas. An end to TPS for Salvadorans would be a blatant attempt by Trump to continue his racist, mass deportation agenda.

Trump refused to renew TPS for Haitians, and thus on July 27, 2026 (when TPS was effectively terminated), it was catastrophic. Thousands are now tethered by ankle monitors or have been deported. Haitian TPS was issued in January 2010 by President Obama, after a devastating earthquake wrecked Haiti.

The Legalization for All Network demands Trump renew TPS for El Salvador NOW.

At the same time, it's been reported that the Trump administration is preparing to revoke the visas of up to 200,000 people who have applied for or are currently seeking asylum status. If his plan goes unopposed, this would be the largest single mass revocation of visas in U.S. history.

We cannot stand on the sidelines as Trump attacks the legal status and rights of hundreds of thousands of immigrants. We call on our member organizations and allies to immigrants to rally in solidarity with our Salvadoran siblings, visa recipients, and asylum seekers. Do not let Trump continue his mass deportation agenda!

Defend TPS! Stand with Salvadorans!
No mass visa revocation!
Stop Trump’s mass deportation agenda!
Legalization for All!
