I want to invite you to a people powered event against the Meta Data center this Saturday at 10:00 AM hosted by local leaders from Sembrando Esperanza and association!

I know many of us can often feel discouraged by the inactions of our local elected officials, but this is a great way to renew your strength and network! There will be some amazing speakers, some action items, and next steps announced on how you and your family can fight back!

We will also be collecting school supplies for kids in need and pet supplies for the Northeast Hope Coalition pet pantry that is coming to the HEAT Retreat.

Introducing the Northeast HOPE Coalition
Hearts Organized for Power & Empowerment

Hope is growing in Northeast El Paso. We’re proud to have reached 50 members and we’re just getting started. Together our community is building a coalition dedicated to advocating for our neighborhoods, supporting working families, protecting our pets, and creating lasting, positive change.

1️⃣ Our first community initiatives is launching a Pet Pantry to help families of their pets at during the difficult times many of us are living in because no one should have to choose between putting food on the table and caring for their best friend.

If you believe Northeast El Paso deserves better, we invite you to join us. Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, Independent, or simply an El Pasoan who wants to make a difference, there’s a place for you here.

Real change happens when neighbors come together. Let’s build a stronger, safer, and more compassionate Northeast together!

🐾 Updates on our Pet Pantry and how you can help support local families and their pets.
🌳 The latest information on the upcoming community block party opposing the proposed Meta Data Center at Rio Vista Park.
🐾 A conversation with local animal welfare leaders about what we can do together to make El Paso a better place for both people and pets.

Our coalition is committed to bringing the community together, encouraging civic engagement, and creating positive change.

As always, any candidate running for public office in the upcoming general election is welcome to attend and speak with our membership, regardless of political party. We believe our community benefits when voters have the opportunity to hear directly from those seeking to serve them.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, it’s because of your kindness and support that our pet pantry is coming to fruition.

We’ve listened to our community and one of the major needs that has been shared with us is a pet pantry to help struggling families take care of their pets! Our pet pantry will be open to everyone in Northeast El Paso who needs help taking care of their pets plus the strays that many have gracefully decided to help.

We’re in the process of announcing upcoming drop off locations for the Hope’s Animal Welfare Coalition pet pantry, but in the meantime you can message us if you have any donations you’d love to give us.

Happy Fourth of July! 🎇

Today, we celebrate not only our nation’s independence, but also the responsibility that comes with it. May we always have the courage to stand up for what’s right, speak out against corruption, hold our elected officials accountable, and defend the values of democracy, justice, and freedom for everyone.

I know that, with everything happening in our country, it can be difficult to celebrate. But history has shown that real change happens when ordinary people refuse to give up. When we organize, when we vote, when we raise our voices, and when we stand together, we have the power to build a stronger, more just future.

As many of us celebrate this holiday weekend with fireworks, I want to take a moment to share a few important reminders to help keep our pets safe.

The Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve are two of the busiest and most heartbreaking times of the year for our animal welfare community. Every year, hundreds of frightened pets escape their homes after being startled by fireworks, leaving shelters overwhelmed and families desperately searching for their beloved companions.

You can help prevent that by:
🐾 Keeping your pets indoors.
🐾 Making sure gates, fences, and doors are secure.
🐾 Providing a safe, quiet space where they can feel comfortable and calm.
🐾 Ensuring your pets are wearing ID tags and that their microchip information is up to date.

If you see a lost, injured, frightened, or abandoned animal, please call 311 so Animal Services can respond and help reunite them with their family or get them the care they need.

A few simple precautions can save lives and spare families the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet. Let’s work together to keep every member of our community—two-legged and four-legged—safe this holiday weekend. ❤️🐾

As one of the first elected officials to endorse Katy Padilla Stout for Congress

I want to be clear. CD-23 has two options, a leader who understands the issues impacting thousands of Texans in her district or a man on a mission to take CD-23 back decades to serve his handlers. I’ll be pulling the lever for Katy this November because we need more working-class moms who care about everyone in the district in Congress, we need someone who cares about public education and our kids, but most importantly we need a community lawyer who will hold people accountable.
