Elbert Fire responded to a grass fire near CR 110 and Maul Road at approximately 2am this morning. There were no structures burned and the fire was contained to approximately 40-acres.

We would like to thank Franktown Fire Protection District , Elizabeth Fire Rescue , Simla Volunteer Fire Department , Kiowa Fire Protection District , Rattlesnake Fire Protection District , North Central Fire Protection District and Elbert Road and Bridge for your assistance in assuring the fire was extinguished quickly.
