• Unplug unnecessary electronics
• Check natural gas appliances
• Secure your Wi-Fi network and passwords
• Set a lamp on a timer for evening hours
• Make sure outage alerts are enabled in SmartHub
• Test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors before leaving
• Keep your thermostat a little higher instead of turning AC completely off
• Ask a neighbor to keep an eye on your property after storms
• Unplug gaming systems, TVs and chargers to avoid phantom energy use
• Secure outdoor extension cords and patio electronics
• If you use security cameras or smart devices, test your internet connection before leaving
• Make sure sump pumps are working if storms are in the forecast

The Geneseo outage has been restored. If you are in the Geneseo area and are still without power, please call 1-800-858-5522 to report your outage.

The Carroll County outage has been identified as a downed tree in a rugged and difficult-to-access area. Multiple crews are onsite and working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as our crews continue their restoration efforts.

• Carroll County – Crews are actively investigating an outage affecting portions of the county.

At this time, we do not have an estimated restoration time but will provide updates as more information becomes available.
